Hyundai Creta Set to Cross 80,000-Unit Sales Mark in India Soon

Shreenath Hyundai

Hyundai Creta was launched in India in July, 2015 It received over 1 lakh bookings milestone in 8 months since its launch 78,857 units of the Creta had been sold till May, 2016

Hyundai Creta compact SUV is set to cross the 80,000-unit sales mark in India next month. Hyundai's celebrated compact SUV, which was launched here in July, 2015, had sold 78,857 units till May, 2016. In fact, the Creta had crossed the 1 lakh bookings milestone in 8 months since its arrival in India.

While the Hyundai Creta is raking in the numbers, its sales have invariably led to an ample waiting period. Though it somewhat alludes to the SUV's success in the country, certain Hyundai Creta variants are currently commanding a waiting period of over 6 months. With that said, Hyundai, which currently produces 10,000 units of the car every month, is rumoured to be gearing up to ramp up the Creta's production by 20 per cent.
Hyundai Creta comes powered by three engine options: the 128bhp 1.6-litre Gamma VTVT petrol, the 89bhp 1.4-litre U2 CRDi diesel, and the 121bhp 1.6-litre CRDi diesel. Though Hyundai Creta was initially offered with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic albeit only with the 1.6-litre diesel, a petrol automatic variant was added to the line-up earlier this year.

In terms of design, the Creta features the Korean automaker's Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design tenet, further highlighted by the head-lamps, front grille, rising waistline, and tail-lights. It also gets 'outstanding' NVH levels, thanks to the use of high grade insulation material, improved engineering, and design of the engine, transmission, and body structure.

Preparing your car for the Monsoon

Simple tips to get your car ready for the rainy season
It is that time of the year when the heavens open up and everything turns green. With the arrival of the monsoons though also comes the advent of clear and present danger on the road that could in fact be staring you in your face and you won’t even notice! Here are a few simple things to take a look at even before you start driving to keep motoring safe and enjoy the rains to the fullest.
It is worthwhile checking the essentials on a car to make it rain-worthy.

1. Tyres:

First and foremost, tyres must be in good shape with enough tread depth. The tread pattern on your tyres is the single most important thing in the rains that can keep you safely on the roads. Water on the tarmac gets expelled from under the tyres through the treads and prevents aquaplaning. Make sure your treads are deep enough by simply using a coin and checking if the depth is within safe limits – usually 3-5mm.

Rainy Season Car Care Tips

2. Washer Wiper:

Wipers have to be of good quality. Between two monsoons, wiper blades become hard and get coated with traffic film from oily fumes and dust from road. The windscreen itself may be oily due to traffic film. The later two can be cleaned with soap solution. Lastly, check whether the wash wipe system is in working order. Do not forget to put two teaspoonful of liquid detergent in washer fluid. Once you are convinced that the wash wipe system is okay, do have a working trial.

3. Lights:

The lights which seem okay in scanner may be inadequate in monsoon because wet roads absorb light and visibility suffers to a great extent. Lighting must be checked for brightness and correct pattern. Always use good quality bulbs. If inherently the lights are bad, do have auxiliary lights fitted – yellow lights give a better contrast. Fog lights cover only the kerbs and not distant objects.

4. Mud Flaps:

When you’re driving, what you leave behind your car is as essential as what you’re driving into. No one likes driving behind a car that is spraying a lot of muddy water and, more importantly, that can be quite dangerous as well. Make sure you fit mud flaps on all four wheels before you start off. After all, driving safely also means driving responsibly.

Car Care Tips for Hot Summer

http://shreenathhyundai.com/

When it’s hot outside, one of the last places you want to be is sitting in traffic without a properly functioning air conditioning (A/C) system. To help avoid this uncomfortable situation, the Shreenath Hyundai Car Servicing Team recommends having your A/C system checked annually to make sure it is functioning at its peak performance level when the temperatures are soaring.
Making sure your A/C system is working properly will give you the peace of mind knowing that your vehicle will keep you cool and safe when you hit the road this summer. Not only are high temperatures harmful to the body with prolonged exposure, but they can provide unnecessary wear and tear on a vehicle.
A vehicle’s heating, ventilating and air conditioning system (HVAC) keeps the interior cabin comfortable in any season by providing the right temperature and humidity level. Typical A/C service consists of the following steps:
  • Service technician visually inspects hoses, lines, seals and other components for leaks as well as inspect the drive belt for cracks or damage.
  • Technician checks pressures to test operation, refrigerant charge and outlet temperatures.
  • If the system is found to be low on refrigerant, a leak test is performed to find the source of the leak. Keep in mind that if your vehicle is leaking refrigerant, it is damaging the ozone layer.
  • Refrigerant may be added if necessary to “top off” the system.
  • A technician may also check for evidence of refrigerant cross-contamination, which is the mixing of refrigerants.
  • A/C service should also include a check of the compressor’s drive belt and tension.

Extreme Summer Heat Can Burn Up Car Batteries

http://shreenathhyundai.com/

Summer’s extreme temperatures can destroy a vehicle’s battery. The Shreenath Hyundai advises vehicle owners to have their cars’ batteries tested periodically and replaced, if necessary, to avoid being stranded.
Excessive heat and overcharging shortens the life of a battery. Heat causes battery fluid to evaporate, which then damages the internal structure of the battery. A malfunctioning component in the charging system, usually the voltage regulator, allows too high a charging rate, which will eventually destroy a battery.
When most motorists think of dead batteries that cause starting failure, they think of severe winter weather, but summer heat is the real culprit. Many battery problems start long before the temperatures drop. A few simple steps now can help you avoid the cost and inconvenience of a breakdown later.
To get the most life out of a battery here are some suggestions
  • Be sure the electrical system is charging at the correct rate; overcharging can damage a battery as quickly as undercharging.
  • If your battery is the type that needs to be topped off, check it regularly, especially in hot weather. Add distilled water when necessary.
  • Always replace a battery with one that’s rated at least as high as the one originally specified.
  • Keep the top of the battery clean. Dirt becomes a conductor, which drains battery power. Further, as corrosion accumulates on battery terminals it becomes an insulator, inhibiting current flow.

Hyundai Elantra– the Evolving Beauty

http://shreenathhyundai.com/

Evolution is inevitable, and this holds true both for an evolving automobile brand like Hyundai as well as for a world city like Mumbai. To preserve traditions, yet move with the times, can be a challenge - but striking a perfect balance between the two can create an enduring and everlasting legacy.

Hyundai created, cultivated, and now reinvented their Fluidic Sculpture design philosophy. Breaking away from conventional barriers is what Hyundai has been doing with their styling over the past few years, and bold steps like these are needed for the Indian capital to mark its place in the list of leading world cities. The Indian capital, from the beginning of time, has been considered as the city of emperors. Both the car and the city continue to evolve to become more vibrant and progressive.

This saloon is easily the best looker in the C-segment thanks to its Fluidic DNA, which gives it an athletic look and makes it more dynamic. Its stylish swooping roofline is pleasing to say the least. The beautifully crafted elongated sweptback headlamps are nothing short of a work of art, with the LED daytime running lamps splitting the twinpod cluster. The Elantra also oozes attitude with an all-black radiator grille and boomerang shaped fog lamps. This certainly would have pleased the previous rulers of the walled city.

And the Elantra looked the part, whether it was placed next to the Georgian architecture of the city's past or the modern art of the many murals now adorning the capital. The Elantra is not merely a pretty looking thing, as the bold lines in its silhouette complements its solid build. With muscular shoulder lines and bulging wheel arches, it reminds you of a sprinter about to get off the blocks.

In this day and age, progress is all about being environmentally conscious. So, even though the Elantra cruises comfortably at high speed and remains as stable, Hyundai has worked hard on the 1.8-litre petrol and 1.6-litre diesel engines for better efficiency and lower emissions. Keeping emissions in mind, another masterstroke by Hyundai is the addition of an inbuilt ioniser in the dual-zone air conditioner. It clears the air in the cabin of allergens like pollen, mould and hazardous airborne particles such as bacteria. And with the air quality being what it is in most big cities currently, this conscious effort goes a long way in helping us breathe slightly easier.

The Elantra is definitely bold when it comes to design, but what is interesting to see is how the Fluidic DNA is a sign of progress for Hyundai. Like Mumbai, it' s also continuously evolving with the times, and projecting Hyundai as a force to be reckoned with in the changing automotive world order.
